Are My Test Strips Still Sellable? A 60-Second Check

Test strip boxes from the brands we buy: OneTouch, Accu-Chek, Contour, True Metrix and FreeStyle

Run these six

  1. Is the factory seal intact? If it is broken, stop — an opened box has no resale value regardless of brand.
  2. Has the date passed? If it has not, we will buy it. Send a photo of the date and we will confirm before you commit to anything.
  3. Is it a retail carton? A pharmacy dispensing label over the barcode is handled differently. Call us and we will work out what your box is worth.
  4. Has it been anywhere hot? A car, a garage in August, an attic. Heat changes what a strip reads, so tell us where the box was kept and we will factor it in.
  5. Is it US packaging? International-market boxes price differently. Show us what you have and we will tell you straight.
  6. Not sure who paid for it? Give us a call and we will work it out with you in a couple of minutes.

If all six pass

Take a picture of the front of the box and the expiration date, and send it over. Several boxes in one photo is fine. You will have a firm number back within the hour during business hours.

If one fails

Depends which. Dating and store brands usually mean donate instead. A broken seal means dispose. A government funding source means donate, always. We will tell you which applies rather than making you guess.
