The short answer
Use a rigid box rather than a padded envelope, keep every retail carton sealed and unaltered, fill the empty space so nothing shifts, never write on or re-tape the product boxes themselves, and include a note listing what is inside. Do not ship in heat if you can avoid it — a parcel that sits in a hot truck is a parcel that arrives unsellable.
Step by step
- Do not open or re-tape anything. A re-taped carton reads as a broken seal and gets refused. Ship boxes exactly as they are.
- Rigid outer box. Padded mailers let cartons crush; a crushed carton is a refused carton.
- Fill the void. Paper or bubble around the outside of the cartons so nothing rattles. Nothing needs to go inside a product box.
- Sensors and pods travel flat, not loose against the box wall.
- Include a packing note listing brand, product, count and quantity. It speeds up inspection and gives you a record.
- Use a tracked, prepaid label. Any buyer worth dealing with sends one.
- Ship early in the week so the parcel is not sitting in a depot over a weekend, especially in a Georgia summer.
Photograph everything before it goes
Take a picture of the fronts and the expiration dates, plus one of the packed box before you seal it. If there is ever a disagreement about what was sent or what condition it was in, that settles the whole argument.
When not to ship at all
If you are in metro Atlanta, do not bother. A local buyer comes to you, inspects in front of you and pays before leaving, and none of the above applies. Shipping is for lots outside the pickup radius or too small to justify a drive. Mail-in versus local pickup →
