Roche packaging is also the most frequently counterfeited in this category, which is why we check lot numbers on every Accu-Chek box we take.

How to identify what you have
Two things set the price: what is printed on the front of the box — the exact product name and the strip or unit count — and the expiration date. Accu-Chek packaging changes between product generations, so the product name matters — Accu-Chek Aviva Plus and Accu-Chek Softclix lancets are not interchangeable and do not pay the same. Send us a picture of the front of the box and the expiration date and we will tell you exactly what you have before you commit to anything. Several boxes can go in one picture — lay them out and take one photo of the lot.
What we check on every Accu-Chek box
- New and sealed — factory seal unbroken
- Still in date — the more time left, the more it is worth
Storage matters more than people expect
Accu-Chek products are chemically sensitive. A carton that spent an August afternoon in a car in Georgia is not sellable and should not be — a degraded strip or sensor gives a false reading to whoever uses it next, and someone doses insulin off that number. We ask every seller where the boxes were kept, and it is not a formality. How to store them properly →
